Charlie J. Meyers is an American artist and creative entrepreneur working in gestural abstraction and portraiture. He holds an MFA in studio arts from Concordia University in Montreal. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions throughout North America and the UK. From 2016 to 2017, Charlie’s work was on tour in public and private galleries with the Montreal Arts Council throughout the province of Quebec. Other highlighted exhibitions in Montreal include Parisian Laundry, Donald Browne Gallery, Lilian Rodriguez Gallery, Joyce Yahouda Gallery, Gallery B312, and Amos Eno Gallery in NYC.


Charlie has been a guest artist lecturer at the Yale Summer Institute of Bioethics and appeared on popular podcasts and radio shows such as I Like Your Work, Arts and Cocktails, and NPR Radio. In 2024, he was featured in a major brand partnership with Creme de la Mer, a company of Estee Lauder. This partnership included a three-part video interview in his studio and exclusive brand licensing of recent work.


His recent grants and awards include Creative Capital in 2020 and the City of Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy in 2022. Charlie initiated and runs his own creative platform, “The Moon Cheese Curator,” prioritising the work of international disabled artists. Moon Cheese currently provides group and one-on-one mentoring, community, and online art opportunities.

Charlie currently works out of his studio in Fishtown, Philadelphia.
